Hearing Rules
These formal hearing rules apply to all statutes enforced by the Department that provide for formal administrative hearings. The Rules of Procedure in Administrative Hearings apply to all formal administrative hearings in which the legal rights, duties or privileges of a party are required by law to be determined by an agency. All formal administrative hearings are initiated by the Director's issuance, upon written request or upon the Director's own motion. A written Notice of Hearing is served on all known parties to the hearing. The Rules of Procedure apply to all administrative hearings conducted under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Labor.
